If you frustrate yourself with exploring all options and you can’t find resolution, help yourself by stepping away and detaching the emotion. You get nothing from making decisions in a state of heightened emotion, your actions will most definitely give you short term satisfaction and a long term headache. If you step away you are able to think rationally and logically about the best way forward.
Try to get inside the other persons world by understanding their motives and reasoning, think of ways you can achieve common ground with that person. If you are listening to your internal negative voice and passing judgements, you will never pass as authentic. Try and park that negativity and have an open mind. Having an open mind will leave you feeling stronger, liberated and ultimately – in control. Detach the emotion and have your end goal and ultimate purpose in mind.
